The search, based on documents, concern the cohabit between the political and religious structures, inside of the block named Minerva in the centre of Rome, after September 20th 1870, when the capital of the Stato della chiesa was occupied by the new State of Italy. During such an event mostly of the biggest religious structures, located in the centre of Rome, were object of the aims of the various commissions established to settle the offices and ministries of the new capital. The monastery of St. Maria sopra (above) Minerva represent a peculiar case, because for over thirty years two ministries were cohabiting, starting with the Ministry of Finance (with the Minister Quintino Sella) through the Ministry of communication and the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile were evicted the oldest institutions. The headquarter of the Head of Dominican Friars, the court of Inquisition and the college of S. Ignazio (Iñigo): a disquisition fought between religious arguments. Among the requests the three Halls of Sant’Uffizio where the Galileo’s trial were hold more then two centuries ago.
