Urban History in the Context of Czech Historiography and Social Sciences
6,00 €
Four historians, one urban ethnologist, and one urban sociologist represent three generations of researchers in discussion of the state of the research field in which they work for many years or have only recently entered. Urban history is considered in the pluridisciplinary context of urban studies on the borderland of disciplines or in collaboration with urban sociology, geography, anthropology or urbanism. They show where they see the assets and the gaps of Czech research, which has developed in the shadow of social history in the second half of the twentieth century, particularly where it found inspiration and how it changed during last twenty years.
